Subject: Salt index for corn?

SW IA
How do you know what a safe salt content is for starter fertilizer, in-furrow, for corn. We had the product tested at an independent lab, which broke out the salt content.... (I'll have to go find the number, don't have it with me.) Didn't know if there was a rule of thumb or not. The soil varies from field to field, but overall, it is heavier (some bottom ground by the river and some rolling hills). Any thoughts??? Hope what I'm asking makes sense?!? Never sure if I explain what I'm thinking correctly!

EDIT:
Found the paper. Says the Total Sodium (expressed in mg/kg) is 242. Will try to scan the report and post later tonight, maybe someone can explain this a little better to me.
