NE CO | I sprayed out CRP with glyphosate in fall and again in spring before planting RR corn. I live in a low rainfall area, and the grass had used all of the water in the soil profile. The corn never got enough moisture to make grain. I did have success in killing the grasses, and by not working the soil, I believe I helped the N tie up problem that tilling all that biomass into the soil would create. The planting into the sod went pretty well and I did have enough moisture in the spring to get a good stand, just no deeper reserves to finish the crop. I think you would probably have grass problems in the milo. It's a nice option to be able to go back and get any remaining grass with glyphosate in mid season. | |
