| Mark, from my experiences it works better if the cart is at least holds as much as your truck or even a little more. When the cart holds as much as the truck when the truck gets back to the field he can load & be gone & not have to wait one the combine to top it off.
I owned a 1210A for almost 20 years and it was a good cart for it's day as long as you knew how to treat it. All those years we only put 1 slip clutch in it & that was my fault. negatives on the 1210A are the split rims & airplane tires that came on them. Made the cart pull hard & was a PITA in mud. I put 23.1x26 knobbies on it & made a world of difference. Also, most of them had a too short of unload auger. UFT that made the cart for JD offered a longer unload auger but JD didn't offer it. Dealer said it was because the auger stuck out past the side of the cart. Dealer I bought mine new from also sold UFT carts & he would order the long auger from UFT & trade the short auger back in to them.
I would recomend a cart that used a single unload auger. A lot less problems IMO. Currently have a Unverferth 7000, about 750 bu corn but would like to either trade for a 950 bu cart or pickup a 500 bu one to have as an overflow so we could fill a semi trailer without having to wait on the combine.
