I went through a bunch of bearings shimming them to tight. I would say 1 inch max. I was told and it makes sense, as the blade encounters the ground it will pinch together. Get extra shims.. On my 1770 i was using 7-8 shims per side. If not you will push all the grease out of the bearing and it will fail very fast. Just my experience.
