Subject: Re: 1660 rotor speed in corn?

Normally I run 350 to 370 in dry corn but this year I have to run 420 or so to keep the rotor loss down. It's just a product of high yields to have to do it. Don't seem to notice any difference in grain quality so far. Fan I crank up to 950-980 bottom sieve wide open, touch up with the top sieve. Ground speed is 3.2 to 3.8. This is an IH motor so maybe you have more horsepower but I run out of HP in the rotor. 6 row narrow head too.
