Subject: Milo Harvest in TX Panhandle (1 pic)

Panhandle of Texas

Milo harvest is not going as fast as we would like it to, here (for us) in the TX panhandle.  Normally, we have a freeze by now, and the stalks are generally dead, and the milo is dry.  This year, the stalks are green, and the milo is ~barely dry enough (well, in some cases/days it is NOT dry enough)...If the stalks had been dead, though, when the ~wind machine~ hit today, the milo would have been FLAT on the ground!

We are all dryland.  This milo is making more than 5K, but less than 6K lbs./ac.

This pic does not show things good at all (milo appears green but it's not); (pic does show my wide guess row, right about the middle of the pic, though! Embarassed oops)

I took the pic w/my cell-cam.

 Milo

Anybody else having trouble getting their milo to dry down?
