Nice to meet you too. There were some of the baseball/beercanned ears-but not near as bad as some of the others pictures I have seen. I suspect that the yield damage from the stunted ears was > 15 bu, but some was offset by the good the headline did on those that were not damaged.

I have looked at several fields in our area that had headline put on-nothng near 100 bu per acre damage anywhere that I have heard of from others. Around us every so often a well formed fully filled round ear about 2-3" long. Have never seen that before, and don't see it in the checks with no headline.

I haven't looked for blanks specifically-will do that when I get out there.
