We'll start flying rye into corn going to soys Monday. If next spring is dry, we'll burn it off before planting. If its wet, we'll spray after. I've never seen rye too big to kill, but have never been able to touch it shorter than a foot or so tall. Wheat is the opposite for some reason. Can't really say its 100% accurate, but we've had better luck killing rye w/ glyphosate on sunny days vs cloudy days- like you'd expect with gramoxone. Never the less, rye is fairly easy to kill AFTER it gets over a foot tall. 3 ft is ok too, as is 4 ft.
