Even as die hard Hereford person from a die hard Hereford family,Angus cattle have their place. I've owned some,they just didn't work for me. Baldies are an awesome cross but when we get into bulls with broken equipment cuz they've been flanked by another bull while mounting a cow or I've been high jumping gates to get away from an Angus cow that had an over developed sense of maternal instinct....sorry...no calf,black or not, is worth the "attitude" a lot of Angus cows seem to have,my life and limb are more valuable. Just my opinion but I'll stick with the Herfies,nice and mellow tempered. | |
