| Roy, maybe this is a here and now thing. "MOST" rations are short of calcium. The alfalfa helps with it since its about the ONLY natural source of calcium. I have tried feeding ground up rock,,,aka,,,calcium in a sack and they reject eatting it!! Alfalfa is the ONLY calcium rich natural feed they will readily eat,,,at MY house!! It also helps keep the protein cost down a tad,since need it anyway!! I hope your mileage may vary!!! | |
