Pretty much what I see more milk translates into harder doing or more feed. I could see in a not friendly environment say winter calving where all the milk would help the marbling cells express themselves. As I think I understand the upper limit of the marbling is determined at a young age. Another thing I thought funny at the mtg. was the talk of too large of a cow. Yet at that same mtg. there was a sale catalog of tested bulls. I would venture to say the avg frame was 7 with one as tall as 8.5 and he was a Angus. I just wonder what those bulls would sire in the way of easy keeping cows. I had some back in the 80's they all culled themselves out on pasture. Ben
