Stratton, Ontario, Canada | I don't like them because they are dangerous in an already dangerous operation. My old chute has a guillotine gate and I have had it come down on me a few times, usually when you get an excited animal hitting the chute hard. I have heard stories of fractured skulls and neck injuries with them. They should actually be banned from manufacturer's designs. At the very least, a sliding/rolling door is much safer.
The Sioux Steel and Real Tuff are the exact same chute, just different color (Yellow or Green). Both made at the plant in Mobridge, SD. Actually, many of the products between Sioux and Real are the same, but I have never inquired as to who is the patent holder and who leases it.
Here is a pic of the bi-fold gate from the Canadian Tuff site. http://www.tuff.bz/bifold.html
