That has been on my mind. I believe that we will continue to raise some pork in the US, where as ethanol could be gone altogether if food gets tight.

I'm not planning to build one, but just looking from the outside it looks to me like a better deal now than a couple of years ago. A new building now would stand a better chance of being filled than an older one if it got down to brass tacks, wouldnt it?

Is lowering the P in the feed/manure benefiting owner of the pigs? Or is it just a way to reduce applied nutrients? There is a lot of ground in our area with poor P levels.

What about spiking manure loads with DAP and Potash while applying?
