For every positive statement about a breed there is gonna be a negative one to counter it. Pick out a breed that you like and go with it. Was around a herd of Herefords, started pre-WW2, raised by one family. These cattle were hand fed and baby'd and you could touch about any of the cows in the herd, but the calves they threw were the wildest sob's on the face of the earth. Plumb damn crazy!!! Been around Angus, Simmi, Char, Limmi, Herfy and all the above crossed up. All can be gentle and all can be devils. Just sayin.
