Downtown Shell Knob MO Come Visit!
We are lucky, we keep cows on spring fed ponds and the set that does not has a couple cows in it that will keep a nice little nose hole made in the ice if we can't get to them. Its just hard for 100 cows to drink out of the same nose hole without fighting like little kids. We have a couple herford bulls that came from the northwest and the last snow they moved themselves to a field that had no water (vea a hole they made in an old fence) and when all the cows they were with were eatting hay and trying to get a drink out of the frozen ponds. The two bulls stayed in the other field and ate snow and pushed the snow away from the grass and grazed what was under it. We kept looking for tracts where they would go back for hay and water but they were happy where they were at.
