Subject: You're sooooo right.

Le Sueur VIA St.Thomas
We actually delivered Emily in San Francisco as part of a National Institute of Health research study. We spent most of our days during her first two weeks in the UCSF Neonatal ICU. Emily was mainly there because of research study requirements and was by far the healthiest baby there. My wife is an L&D nurse so she new just how serious some of the other situations were. We met some other parents who were likely not going to get to see their babys grow up. That really put things into perspective for us.

Even on our trips to the Mayo Clinic we see kids who are so bad off that you'd think Emily has nothing wrong at all. We quite often go home feeling bad about other families. We are pretty good as a family unit, we have great family and friends, we have enough money and enough insurance; we are truly blessed.

good luck -jim
