T-boss, why? I have always used better quality alfalfa to wean calves, 150rfv, give or take. My vet follows a similar program. Why would someone expect a calf to do ok on a moldy round bale? Greg thats /ton and the bales weigh 1400 # 3x4x8 . The freight would kill you.
