corn in nw iowa is also in high gear toward maturity. looked at three differend hybrids yesterday, 99rm & 105rm. All were 20-80% dented. Thats way ahead of normal for here. FWIW, last year we were just pollinated at this point. I think usda's 165 will come down also. Not sure how far, but we've been too warm, overnight mainly, to get a record yield IMO. we had tremendous potential a month ago and that has since been rained away. Skilling on wgn said yesterday that chicago has had more days over 80 degrees this year than ever (since wx records began). We've had tons of overnight lows in the 70's here. Finally supposed to be 55 tomorrow morning.
