Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | Yes, I hadn't thought of that approach. We have done something similar in the past with the old Calc-n-acres that didn't have an acre counter ON/OFF switch. We merely put a switch in the signal line coming from the magnetic speed sensor.
Your idea should work in that when the boom valve is off the signal produced (if any) couldn't get back to the cab. Given the situation you are in this probably would be smoother.
As you have indicated the coil input would go to the red wire of the center boom valve, the coil ground to a good ground on the boom. The signal from the flow meter would go in and then back out of the output terminals. Thus any signals produced would only get to the cab if the middle section were on.
I had not thouht about multiple configurations to handle your different situations. I would think you would have other concerns if you mix them in the same field. Possibly this is not your situation. |
