Yes the “trip” lift was used on plows, planters and other towed implements that needed to be lifted out of the ground when making turns or otherwise transported. Basically a mechanical clutch on one of the wheels that would grab and release with the movement of a hand operated lever. Have a three bottom plow and a two row planter that operate that way.
