Southeast WI | Main part of my shopping is same size as yours. Had planned on the water heater route but chickened out at last minute and had a boiler installed by a heat/air neighbor. Works great.
I do use the home water heater in the house basement but it's only taking the heat from low 60's with floor heat off to 70. That runs a couple hours twice a day to maintain that in the coldest of winter- i figured a water heater would run too much to be efficient in the shop where it goes from mid 20's shop temp in winter with no heat to keeping it at 55. Granted once the temp is up it has to just maintain it but it's much colder than a basement floor.
How long does yours run daily and what kind of lp usage do you have. Granted our winter daily temps are vastly different. | |
