Central Kansas | I needed a new tire for my 950 planter. I wanted a fire stone 12 ply Tire but I have found out that fire stone does not make a 12 ply tire anymore. Dealer sold me a Maxim Tire and I put it on and find that it rubs on the sides of the yolks that the axle goes through. Besides being a PITA to change, dealer has another brand of tire that is a little narrower and still in a 12 ply So Monday I’ll be able to get it and put it on. I think it’s a shame that fire stone does not build a 12 ply Implement tire anymore. Anyone hear any more about why they don’t make it 12 ply? | |
