Subject: RE: Convert Hydraulics to Electric

Sac & Story county IA
I have D03 valves like those on a 4840 Deere for a loader. They work ok for things like moving snow or dirt. But something like hanging rafter, I will use hoses to valves on back of tractor and slow flow. That setup leaves outlets on back of tractor for other things. The Deere is closed center. I don't know what your tractor is? Open center on those kind of valves means motor control so a motor can coast to stop. Open center on older tractors like a 560 Farmall is called tandem center on the electric valves. The tandem center on D03 valves has a low flow rating. Probably lower than you want. There are D05 valves that flow more. I don't know numbers. And valves that will hover part way open to control speed of function. I have no experience with those.
