I use a circular blade that looks like a saw blade on my battery operated brush trimmer. Works great. If u cut below the branches, no need to spray.. On thicker trees, my guard on the Dewalt has a small metal extension out the front beyond the blade. That works great for thicker trees of 1-1.5". Put that against the tree to hold the saw blade and keeps it from biting and jumping as it cuts. I have a 60v battery and can cut for hours. The Dewalt blade that comes with the brush trimmer attachment is next to useless.
