| We plant small grain (wheat, rye, triticale, and even oats if we have any seed. After shelling corn, may not start coming up till March, depending on the weather. Not sure cause the drill is mixing some dirt with the stalks or cause the cover starts to grow. By the middle of April, can start seeing the trash staring to disappear, even planted the first week in January, checked the field first of March, seed was germinating in the corn trash. You will have live roots in the soil at planting time | |
