Back maybe 15-20 years ago there was a family that rented a bunch of land from the mormon church that would buy 8000 and 9000 tractors by the dozen.I believe they were wheat farmers in Washington state and always wondered what kind of discounts they got. There were a few others that would get 3 tractors at a time and bounce back and forth between departments to watch them being built.

Do those of you that lease tractors have any leverage if you lease three at once???

I think you’ve mixed together some elements of the story. The Mormon church owns a bunch of irrigated ground, not wheat farms. They also own the corp that operates the farm. There were several entities that were doing the big MUD rolls when they were popular: hay processors, Hutterite colonies, the Mormons, large spud farms, etc. Lots of 6000 and 8000 series, not so many 9000. At the time quadtracks were doing a lot of the heavy tillage work. It was not at all unusual for farms to be all green except for quads.
