Lowe's and Home Depot both have reserved parking for vets -- disabled, or not, you can park there. Home Depot had Vet's parking and a couple spaces for Purple Heart recipients. I will usually park there if the spaces are available and I am perfectly capable of walking. Lowe's does it a bit better because their spaces are next to the exit of the store. HD has them near the store entrance.
Opinions will vary on whether the spaces should be there. Very good restaurant in Billings, MT has Vet parking space right by the front door. I use that one too, if it's open. If you have a problem with it, all the draft board would have had to do is leave me alone and I wouldn't use your precious spot.
