Haven’t bought Cheerios in more than a decade. Wife buys some kind of organic “o”s for the kids from Whole Foods. Box says all ingredients grown in USA. I think it was 4.50/box and about the same size as cheerios. Looked more like Apple Jacks to me. Ingredients said all colors were from vegetables. I ate a couple and they taste no different than Apple Jacks.
It obviously can be done and isn’t much more expensive than what General Mills sells.
