Generally speaking, tubs to maintain and cubes to gain. Lots of difference in tubs, if you don’t see any improvement switch to a different brand, I’ve been getting along good with Hubbard’s HE30, always get hard tubs. You always get the boss-hogs that eat on tubs non-stop and won’t let others eat. Best cube I’ve used is cottonseed, distillers cubes have just been so-so. Cows will run a half mile or more chasing you for cubes so not sure how much you gain after feeding them. You can easily go to once per 2 or 3 days feeding cubes if needed.
I’m looking for a decent liquid feed for spraying on hay with the bale processor. Only one tractor going per day and one trip to the cows is my goal.
