It has happened several times that we haul our cows home and one or 2 of them have already had there calves, we haul 35 miles. We have never noticed any problem with the ones that calve in the weeks after hauling.  There is differently reason to haul them at least 2 weeks before expected start date so you do not have the problem of figuring out what cows have calves and finding the calves.
