Pittsburg, Kansas | Yes, vitamin D is a fat soluable so taken with fat it is supposed to absorb better. The pills we take has it in a capsule with MCT oil I believe.
I have heard it said it is not actually a vitamin but instead actually a hormone.
What I think is not totally known is if some of the positive results are just associations and therefore may not be not causal. But there sure have been a lot of positive outcomes associated with high blood serum levels. And it is cheap and easy to take. So from my standpoint taking it is just a cheap insurance policy. Some day we may find something else is the causal part, but until we find that out, I will keep taking the vitamin D3 and K2. Large potential upside for almost no downside unless a person takes mega doses or something crazy. Even drinking too much water can kill a person, so I guess at some large dose maybe D3 is bad too.
I would not mind seeing mine and my wife's up around the 75-100 mark.
