De Forest, WI | johnk - 10/28/2023 20:02 Our church men’s group will be having a community pancake breakfast. ( funds go to local projects) it is ideal if we can make pancakes fast enough to keep up but if we work ahead, is there a good way to keep just made pancakes warm and good shape?
I make them a couple times a year for my kids private school. About 80 students plus staff. If you have access to an oven they will keep in good condition a LOT better than a nesco. We use the nesco for breakfast sausage. Those keep a lot better in a nesco.
What are you making the pancakes on? I use cast iron griddles on the gas cook tops. They make much better pancakes in my opinion. A better "skin" on the pancakes allows them to hold better in the oven. I always use butter as the grease for the pan. Everyone always raves about the taste.
Have fun. Pancakes are one item I like making and they are pretty fast,
