south east SD | 66 and the last 10 years I’ve had right shoulder pain that wakes me up at night. Went to an orthopedic doctor and did a x-ray and Mri after therapy.
Partially torn rotator cuff and a bone spur.
Going in tomorrow for shoulder surgery. He’s thinking to remove bone spur and see how much he has to do to the torn rotator cuff.
He wants to keep it as minimal as possible for recovery.
I swim for a hour 3 times a week for a hour non stop, that’s probably what kept me going so long. I could swim and swing my arm with minimal pain and did feel better after. When I don’t swim, all fall farming it gets worse. But now pain is getting to constant to ignore.
I remember an older neighbor who had a bad shoulder in her 80’s and didn’t do anything and you could see the pain it caused her all the time. Always holding her arm to help her pain. I’m gonna I hope fix mine!?!?
