coast of Maine | Its a adrenalin addiction thats hard to fight.Sort of like stock car racing in its disease aspect.Ran it hard for close to 20 years.Avg was in excess of 10,000 miles per year. All on trail, majority Quebec ,Ontario,New Brunswick.Would always find snow the day after thanksgiving, always.!Be done by Feb 25th.So three months of riding trips all during the week ,,never weekends as crowds and farming. Was not too bad on costs at the start but it left a dollar a mile then got to 2$ a mile,,now its 4 $ a mile minimum.Trail passes,Insurance, trucks ,sleds ,trailers, fuel, parts, gear, and more gear, hotels, food, alcohol, new sleds every season due to reliability needs,,,but man we had a lot of fun.Lots do not come out alive from this sport so beware...the power is the issue and trees getting hit at 100 mph,,they always win... | |
