Well I had my interview in downtown Chicago today at my old employer.  I have to say, once again, that because of the peaceful train ride, I arrived sane, and got home sane (even took a little nap on the way home).  I interviewed with the HR person and 2 vice presidents (separately) and everything went really well!   One of them is friends with the person who got me into the company in the first place 12 years ago.  Small world!  In this industry you cannot afford to burn bridges...you never know when you might need a friend.  They are creating a new department so they are trying to figure out how many people they'll need, and what specifically they'll need, so it'll probably take them some time to figure it all out. 

I put a lot of preparation into today (including updating my portfolio of analyses), and I felt confident in my work and in my interview skills. 

So now I get to hurry up and wait to hear back from them.
