| Where would I look to find a S780 Deere combine for rent the middle of June for wheat harvest in Central Kansas? I tried my local dealer, as I just bought a new S780 from them, but they stated "they are not in the rental business." I am guessing they think if they don't rent me a combine, then I will buy one from them. I tried the big Deere dealer in Western Kansas that I have purchased a few big items from in the past and he said also they don't want to rent out combines.
Is this the current trend that dealers don't want to rent out machines?
We are especially strong this year in wheat so I want to rent this year and then reevaluate for 2025.
Thoughts on who would rent S780/S790 for wheat harvest? I thought maybe custom cutters would have extra machines around for wheat harvest as it seems like Fall harvest is their busy time, but I haven't asked them yet. I have access to an additional header.
