Subject: Cheap way to “try” 2x2 or 2x0 on planter? Need some ideas from fellow tightwads

20 Miles West of Indianapolis Indiana
I’d like to try 2x2 or 2x0 on my corn planter. It’s a 24 row 30” Kinze 3800. A neighbor has some tanks he said I could have. I want to try it on 12 rows or half the planter and do side by sides. I’d really like to start out with electric pumps and apply 8-10 GPA of a mix of 32/ATS and micros.

I’d probably run a hose/stainless pipe out the back of the closing wheel.

What kind of advice or ideas can you give me to try this out and not break the ba m if I want to convert it later on to a permanent outfit on the whole planter?

(Eventually it’d have to be a hydraulic pump or maybe ground driven pump to run the whole 60’ I understand) correctly this is a bare planter with ground drive/chain driven meters and just row clutches. No other technologies on the planter really.
