Subject: Deere 1795 Planter, Hydraulic Drive Compressor

Ethridge, TN
Compressor is not kicking back on when pressure drops. Replace the tank pressure sensor, as that has fixed it before, but not this time.

If check voltage to the FRAME, I will get 12v+ at that pressure switch, and at the solenoid plug. If I check across the plugs, best I get is 9.8v. I'm assuming a ground issue, but where does the circuit ground to??? If the pressure is low, and I shut off the hydraulics, the solenoid will engage, and compressor will run until it reaches pressure. Drain the tank down, and the compressor will not restart, until you cycle the hydraulics. Don't think there is enough power to open the solenoid, if there is pressure on it. Sort of hate to cut into the harness, but I am about to add a "to frame" ground at the compressor. This is the only issue I'm having on that hydraulic circuit.

Other fix, or is there a common ground point, that needs cleaned?? Where is it located, if there is??
