nc ks | Lol. I don't know how many times I here the definition of drought in corn country as 'my yard is turning brown'. So water it so when sitting on the porch in the cool of the evening as the sun is going down, you can think of something else. My wife has apologized to me several times over the years because she keeps her yard and flowers so lush and beautiful and all I see most years and most days is crops struggling in defensive mode and then come home to her world. My response is thank her for the oasis she keeps so I can enjoy the beauty in the late evening and forget a bit about the lack of rain.
The browning of the grass is also a poor indicator of crop health anyway.
