Subject: El nino

NE North Dakota
This years prediction is to flip to El Niño. That puts this year most similar to 2009.

2009 for ND was a disaster. Corn was 30-35% moisture and nobody was done until December or January. Even if ND gets the extra 800k planted if we have the cool wet summer of El Niño it doesn’t correlate to high yields for ND

The past 4 or so years have been big crops for ND mostly due to summer heat letting the crop reach maturity. Lack of heat is devastating to ND yields

Butttt….ND doesn’t matter if it’s planted whatever is harvested just adds to pile. Whether that’s 100bpa or 200bpa. With El Niño won’t need to worry about pollination issues in the south
