| Hey Guys, I have a question for the agronomist and Milo Producers. Last year we grazed off a 160 acres of Winter Wheat. We Disked and planted it to Milo the first week of June. I planted it with our Air Drill at 3 pounds per acre on a Twin Row 30 inch Spacing. We applied 15 pounds of Phosphorus and 20 pounds of Nitrogen in Furrow. I had the Co-op come in and apply the Pre-emerges after I planted. It came up and looked good but was a little thin. About a Month and a Half later We Side Dressed it with 40 more pounds of Nitrogen and got a inch of rain two nights later. A few weeks later we had to spray it for head worms. Even though it was thin it still had some decent sized heads on it. When we harvested it, it only yielded about 32 bushels an acre. This field is a Sandier type soil with a PH of 5.3. I was just curious if you guys thought it should have yielded better? I was just curious if you guys could tell me what impovements I could have made. I will post some pictures of how it looked throughout the year.
