NC Iowa | I have posted many times over the years that understanding the male and female inbreds that make up the hybrids planted today is the most misunderstood aspect of agronomy. Inbreds impact genetic root size, nitrogen and K utilization, and overall tolerance to stressful conditions. The attached video demonstrates this very clearly! Working with someone who understands the genetic makeup of hybrids and placement could be worth 10 to 20 bu/a or more in stressed conditions.
