Blue Grass (Eastern IA) | Trying to decide whether Y dropping will pay. Corn is on good soil in eastern Ia. 34k pop, Yield goal is 250. Notill into soybean ground. I was shooting for 180lbs N and 20 lbs sulfur plus instinct with planter, but only got 150lbs on the first 100ac. Before I got the bugs out if the new system. Corn is waist high and looking perfect. Got 4” of rain today, so it will be 5 days before I could get in to Y drop. 30 units of N will cost $50 including application. Will it pay? | |
