Blue Grass (Eastern IA) | I’ve been building the soil. In the 12 years I have been renting it I have increased OM by 1%, ph by .5, doubled P and K levels. Farm has been notill for 20 yrs. I spring strip-till 2yr+ removal rate of P, K, Boron, and Zn every other year when it’s going into corn. Everything gets rye covercrop. I upped the sulfur from 15 lbs to 20 this year, may need more yet.
