NE IA | Cut the triticale on Sunday evening we planted after chopping corn last fall and boy did it turn out! The head was about 4" from coming out so I am hoping that we came close to maximize quality and tonnage. By rough math it yielded about 6 ton an acre. I will be sending in a sample after it ferments for a few weeks and will be used in a backgrounding ration with corn silage, dry hay and ddgs. No tilling beans into the stubble tomorrow.
