| I see you already replied. I did edit my first post adding some there. I think nearly all the lines I did an A+ line, so I just plugged in the degrees. As I said earlier, I dropped a flag under the tractor drawbar. The JD guidance was used first for the strip till, so then I drove the planter tractor over that flag and set the same A+ degrees in the Trimble when I came back to plant. There was no need to pull into the far side of the field also. Our fields are 1/2 mile by 1/2 mile so just slightly smaller, but it was consistent across the whole field.
On an unrelated note, I had tremendous trouble with keeping consistent pass to pass accuracy with the Deere after I bought it. We plant on 30" rows, and it would vary from 24 to 36 inches pass to pass. I tried 2 other receivers, with no difference. Finally did a factory reset on the 4600 display and that seemed to take care of it. I did still have to set a slight receiver offset to get it correct. | |
