We have started a drone spraying business. Sales, Service, spraying and seeding using Hylio American made drones. We are located in SE Minnesota

Compared to what we paid to have a helicopter spray fungicide on our crops, (corn and soybeans), the ROI on purchasing the drones will be 2 years or less.

We will swarm 3 drones and have the ability to cover 75 acres per hour.

We will spray early mornings and evenings take advantage of spraying on the dew to get better coverage on the plant.

We will use spray drones to apply fungicide, micronutrients, sulfur, boron, etc. to increase our corn and soybean yields.

Spray drones are available now and will be rapidly expanding in the next 2-3 years.

Here is their web site if you are interested.

I think the commercial ground rigs will still have their place, so will airplanes and helicopters, but drones will get some market share also, especially when application timing is critical like applying fungicides, etc.

This will allow a farmer to be in control of when to apply products and do precise in field testing to prove ROI on your own farm.

How many acres did you spray this year?
