Back in my versions, you had to download the software to the camera card, insert the card and boot the drone, it would beep and flash for a while and update itself from the card.
I believe now newer versions you use the app and WiFi and update it through the app. I’m not familiar with this way, so I best not say anything that confuses the issue.
