Sounds like you have a lemon. But the reviews are pretty good.
I Really question charging three aircraft batteries plus the controller battery at the same time. Pretty sure the DJI instructions for my Phantom 3 models said to not hook up a drone battery and controller battery at the same time.

I do like that both my Spark and Mavic Mini batteries are charged with a USB cord. Using a 110 adapter or a 12 volt cig lighter plug in.

The Mavic has a three battery pack that has places for three, but it only charges one at a time. Starts with the one having the highest charge. After that battery is fully charges, starts in on the second highest charges.
Pretty slow however, three low batteries can take hours.

Last evening on a two drone operation, I had the Spark plugged into a 12 volt mini starter pack. The starter deal was showing about fully charged when I started. But real low when the Spark was charged. Doubt if it would have started a low battery vehicle.
Does a drone battery take that much juice?

This plus your controller battery problem! Maybe you are holding your mouth wrong.
