James J. Hill, the railroad tycoon who passed away in 1916, has a trust for his heirs set up that will last until 2015. It is running a business, and was quite a feat to set this up to last so long. I'm too tired to get into it, but it was set up to run by itself in a very strange way - getting around laws that banned such long-term things, and it has been successful for this long.

The guy had some business skills, keeping his railroad going through several bad ecconomic periods & several attempts by the gov to bust up the big railroads, if you look it up on Wikipedia.
